Research & Development

The unique solar cell design and the innovative “CISCuT production technology” (Copper Indium Disulphide on Copper Tape) is the result of more than 15 years of research and development. The technology is worldwide patented and enables the manufacturing of new, customized solar products.

Today, up to 20 experienced scientists and engineers are working at Odersun using the latest methods of material science, analytics, measurement and simulation for a steady improvement of module characteristics. This includes among others the further optimization of the photoelectric parameters through the use of new materials, the adaptation of solar cell design as well as the development of materials and processes for new types of solar modules.

R&D activities are done both in house and in close co-operation with scientific institutions, universities and industrial partners, as well as in the context of publicly sponsored projects.
The priority of all R&D activities is to achieve a quick translation of research results into new products.
